I’m not gonna lie; whenever I’m creating something, no matter what it is I’m making, I am full of fear.

The thing I’m most afraid of is making a mistake. If I make a mistake, I might look stupid, or even worse; people might not think I’m as talented as I want them to think I am. With all this fear, it’s easier not to create at all.

So if I wanted to make stuff, I needed to come up with a way to stop being afraid of making a mistake.

What If Instead Of Avoiding Mistakes, I Became Willing To Make Mistakes?

When I’m willing to make mistakes, then I never make mistakes.

Because if I’m willing to make mistakes, then mistakes don’t exist. They don’t exist because mistakes become “unexpected results” of the creative process. And unexpected results can spark our creativity!

I know this sounds like one of those “riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma” kind of things, but I promise you it works!

Treat Your Mistakes As “Unexpected Results”

When you’re creating, there are no mistakes, just unexpected results.

When these unexpected results pop up, allow yourself to be surprised and inspired by them. You’ll have more fun creating, and your work will surprise and inspire your audience!

I love you all, and I hope you have a great day!
