As you may or may not know, I’m paid for and accepted the challenge of writing 30 short essays and posting them on social media for the next 30 days. This is Day 2, and so far, it’s going well. I’m 2 for 2!
But I have at least 28 more essays to go. I’m not sure what each of these 28 essays will be about, but here are 3 of the topics that I am interested in writing about:
Topic #1: Improv Life Lessons!
I’ve been teaching improv for almost a bajillion years. I’ve taught thousands of students, and I’m pretty darn good at it. And I’ve found that some of the adages I used when teaching helped my students both onstage and off.
I hope that by sharing these sayings (My students called them “Tom Booker-isms”), I can help people be happier and more creative.
Topic #2: Always Be Creative!
I’m 59. While that’s not old enough to give up on everything, it’s too old to be a frightened frustrated creative person. So I want to share with the world what I’m doing (like writing this Atomic Essay) to get off my old butt and finally chase my creative dreams!
And I want to share the lessons learned and hopefully inspire others to pursue their creative dreams and avoid dying with regret.
Topic #3: Fun With MS!
You should know two things about me: 1) I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis four years ago. 2) I am the King of Self Pity! So to not give in to the self-pity that I have perfected to an art form, I want to report to you the things I am doing to look on the positive side of living with this disease!
And I want to write about this so I can always focus on the positive, connect with others living with MS, and inspire others to keep smiling no matter what they’re going through. And let’s face it; we’re all going through something!
Please let me know what you think! And let me know if you have any suggestions. I love you, and I hope you’re having a wonderful day!
